When using this stator on 2016-2018 Polaris Sportsman 570 models, please pay close attention to the stator and regulator wiring harness routing. The OEM wire routing was very poor, and allowed the harness to rub against the motor, damaging the insulation and damaging the charging system. We recommend routing your stator/regulator wiring outside of the frame rail, and securing the harness to the frame with zip ties. This should prevent any future damage to the wiring harness.
Battery condition is extremely important. No stator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.
Please Note: There are two possible stators for the RZR XP 900 and RZR 4 XP 900 models. This stator fits models built 3/16/12 and after (OEM # 4013013, stator thickness 19 mm). For the stator built 3/15/12 and before, the right part is RM01205 (OEM # 4013224, stator thickness 27 mm). Always check in the ‘Fits models’ section and please compare to your original part before buying.

There were 2 different regulators used on 2017-2018 Polaris Sportsman 570 models. Please compare your original to our pictures. Our RMS020-100174 regulator will ONLY replace an original that looks EXACTLY the same. The other possible regulator is RM30421.
Before installing your new stator
- Check the AC output of the stator.
- Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator/rectifier
- Check and repair any melted wiring.
- Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors
